Salon partner terms

Salon partner terms

Last updated 6 November 2026

In plain words: these are the rules for salon owners who list their shop on BukSalon. You run your salon, set your services and prices, and customers pay you directly. BukSalon gives you the live queue, QR tokens and bookings. The Free plan costs nothing; Pro and Business are paid to BukSalon by UPI. Keep your listing true, honour your customers' bookings, and use their details only to serve them.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you, the owner of a salon listed on BukSalon ("you"), and BukSalon ("we", "us"). They apply when you register a shop, use the salon dashboard or app, or serve customers who come through BukSalon. By registering your salon or using the salon dashboard, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't list your salon.

Our Terms of use and Privacy policy also apply to you. If they say something different about your salon, these salon terms apply.

2. Who we are

BukSalon is owned and run by Neeraj Kumar as a sole proprietor in India. Our address is Jhumri Telaiya, Koderma, Jharkhand 825409, India. You can reach us at contact@buksalon.in or +91 99393 68248.

BukSalon is a queue and booking tool. We don't provide salon services. Your salon is an independent business: you are not our employee, partner or agent, and we are not yours.

3. Who can join

  • A real salon, barbershop or beauty parlour that operates legally in India, from a shop that customers can visit.
  • The person who registers must be 18 or older, and must be the owner of the shop or have the owner's authority to list it and to accept these terms for it.
  • You hold the licences and registrations that your state and local authority require to run the shop.
  • Each salon is linked to one owner mobile number, and one mobile number can own only one salon on BukSalon.
  • We may refuse a registration that we can't verify.

4. Your account and your team

  • You log in with the owner's mobile number and a 6-digit one-time code sent by WhatsApp or SMS. There is no password, and salon owners can't log in with Google.
  • Never share the login code with anyone, including a BukSalon field agent. Nobody at BukSalon needs it to help you.
  • Team members you add (name, role and, if you choose, phone number) appear in your queue and bookings. They don't get their own BukSalon login. Add a team member's phone number only with their permission.
  • You are responsible for everything done from your account, including by anyone you let use your phone or dashboard.
  • If you think someone else has got into your account, tell us straight away. We can sign your account out on all devices.
  • Selling your shop or changing your number? Contact us. After checking, we can move the salon to the new owner's number.

5. Verification of your shop

We verify every shop before customers can book it, so fake shops don't get through. We check:

  • At least one photo of your shop front, taken with your phone camera. If you allow it, your phone's location when the photo is taken is saved with it, so we can see that it was taken at the shop.
  • Your shop's map pin, set from your phone's location, from your address, from a Google Maps link or by hand.
  • Your salon name, owner name, address, salon type (men, women or unisex) and opening hours.
  • If you register yourself, your salon stays under review until our team checks it. Meanwhile you can add your services, team and prices, but customers can't book and your salon isn't listed. Your dashboard shows what is still missing.
  • Our team then approves your salon or tells you what to fix. We can't approve a salon without the shop-front photo and the map pin.
  • If a BukSalon field agent registers your shop in person, it goes live once the agent has saved the shop-front photo and the map pin. Our team may still check it afterwards.
  • We may check a live salon again at any time and put it back under review if something looks wrong.

6. Your listing

  • Keep your details accurate and up to date: salon name, address, map pin, phone numbers, photos, services, prices, time per service, opening hours and holidays. If you are closed, mark it in the app (pause, or block the date) so customers aren't sent to a closed shop.
  • Photos must be real photos of your own shop and work. Use only photos you took or have permission to use, and don't show a customer's face without their consent.
  • List only lawful hair, beauty and grooming services that a salon, barbershop or beauty parlour normally offers. Don't offer any treatment that, under Indian law, needs a medical or other professional licence, and don't make medical or health claims.
  • Your salon name, address, phone and WhatsApp numbers, map location, photos, services, prices, hours, ratings and reviews are shown publicly. You allow us to show this content on the BukSalon website and app, on your salon page and your salon's own web address on BukSalon (like yoursalon.buksalon.in), and on your QR posters and standees, for as long as you are listed. You still own your content.
  • Our team or a field agent may link your shop's public Google Maps listing, so customers see your Google rating and can leave a Google review.
  • We may correct, hide or remove listing content that is wrong, misleading, or against these terms or the law. If our team changes your salon settings, we tell you in the app.
  • Your web address on BukSalon is for your salon while you are listed. We may change it if it is misleading, uses someone else's name or brand, or is reserved.

7. Serving BukSalon customers

  • Tokens and appointments: serve customers in the order your queue shows, and keep the appointments you accept. If you have to cancel, cancel in the app so the customer is told.
  • No-shows: mark a customer as a no-show only when they really didn't come. No-shows can lead to limits on the customer's account.
  • Prices: charge the prices shown on BukSalon. The bill can change only if the customer adds or changes services at your shop. Booking through BukSalon is free for customers, so don't charge any extra fee for it.
  • Your coupons and loyalty points: honour the coupons you create and the loyalty points you give, under the rules you set in the app. You fund them.
  • BukPoints and BukSalon coupons: accept them when a customer uses them on a booking made in the app. BukSalon pays you their value (section 10).
  • Membership passes: the price of a pass you sell is paid to you. Tap "Payment received" only after you really receive the money. Give pass holders the benefits on their pass until it ends, even if your plan changes. If you stop serving a pass holder before their pass ends (for example because you close your shop), settle fairly with them, for example by refunding the unused part.
  • Pass terms you write: you choose a pass's length (months or days), its benefits, the days it works, how many you sell and any rules of your own. Keep your rules fair and clear, and honour them and everything shown on the pass. A pass you have sold keeps the benefits and rules it had when it was sold, even if you edit the pass later.
  • Fair treatment: treat every customer with respect. Don't refuse or treat anyone worse because of religion, caste, race, sex, place of birth, disability or similar reasons. Serving only men or only women, as shown in your salon type, is fine.
  • Safety: you are responsible for your services, your team and your shop, and for following the health, safety and hygiene rules that apply to them.
  • Complaints: if a customer complains about your service or bill, try to sort it out fairly. We may pass a complaint to you and ask for your side.
  • No fake activity: don't create fake tokens, bookings, visits, customer accounts or reviews, for example to earn BukPoints, coupon money or rewards.

Home visits

Home visits are optional. If you turn them on:

  • Keep your home settings true: the services you do at home, home prices, visiting charge, minimum order, areas or PIN codes, and the days and times you can go. If you can't do home visits for a while (for example you are ill or travelling), pause them in the app.
  • Confirm only the requests you can really do, at that time and address. Otherwise decline with a reason. A request you don't confirm by its time is cancelled automatically.
  • Arrive on time. If you are late or can't come, call the customer, and cancel in the app with a reason if the visit can't happen. Mark a visit as missed only when nobody was at the address.
  • Send only people from your own team whom you trust and are responsible for. Behave safely and respectfully in the customer's home, use clean tools, and leave if the customer asks you to.
  • Charge only the total shown to the customer (your home prices plus the visiting charge). You may charge more only for services the customer adds at the visit. Take payment after the service, by a method you accept, and never ask for money in advance.
  • Keep customers' addresses private. Use an address only to go to that visit, and never share it or use it for anything else.
  • You are responsible for home services, and for your team and their conduct at the customer's home, just as at your shop.

8. Payments

  • Customers pay you directly by cash, card or UPI. Paying at the counter is always available. BukSalon does not collect payment for your services and does not take a share of your bills.
  • In Settings → Payments you choose which of these methods you accept, and customers see your choice before they book. What you show must be true: accept every method you have turned on, and change the setting straight away if that changes.
  • If you accept UPI and add your UPI ID, we show it to customers so they can pay you from their UPI app. Make sure it is your own and correct. We are not responsible for payments sent to a wrong UPI ID that you entered.
  • The khata (udhar) in your dashboard is your own record. Money a customer owes you is between you and that customer.
  • You are responsible for your own taxes, including GST and income tax where they apply, and for giving the bills or receipts the law requires, for both services and passes you sell.

9. Plans and fees

  • Free: ₹0, with no end date.
  • Pro: ₹499 a month, or ₹4,790 a year.
  • Business: ₹999 a month, or ₹9,590 a year.
  • Paying for a year saves 20%. You can pay for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, and each month counts as 30 days. What each plan includes is shown on the Plan page in your dashboard and on our For salons page.
  • How to pay: on your Plan page, pay the exact amount to the BukSalon UPI ID shown there, then enter the 12-digit UPI reference (UTR) from your payment app. Our team matches it with the payment received and switches your plan on, and you get a notification. If we can't match it, we tell you in the app.
  • Pay plan fees only through your Plan page, to the UPI ID shown there. Never pay plan fees in cash or to anyone's personal UPI ID. Entering a reference for a payment you didn't make is fraud.
  • If you change plans while a paid plan is running, your remaining days are converted to the new plan by price, and then the new months are added.
  • Plans don't renew by themselves. When a paid plan ends, your salon moves to Free features: QR codes above the Free limit pause (the oldest keep working), your coupons and loyalty points pause, new pass sales pause (passes already sold stay valid), and reports go back to the Free range.
  • If we change plan prices, the new price applies to your next payment, not to a plan you have already paid for.
  • Refunds of plan fees are covered by our Cancellation & refunds policy.
  • Partner programme: invite other salon owners with your partner code. When a salon you invited buys its first paid plan, you get free Pro days (the number is shown on your Plan page). There is no reward while your salon is suspended.

10. BukPoints and BukSalon coupons: what BukSalon pays you

  • Paid by you: your own coupons, your loyalty points and the benefits of membership passes you sell. BukSalon doesn't pay you for these.
  • Paid by BukSalon: BukPoints (BukSalon reward points) and BukSalon coupons (coupons that BukSalon creates for all salons). Customers can use them only on bookings made in the app, within the limits BukSalon sets.
  • When a customer uses BukPoints or a BukSalon coupon at your salon and the visit is marked completed, BukSalon owes you that amount. You can see the total under "BukSalon pays you" in your Reports. Cancelled visits and no-shows don't count.
  • We send this money to the UPI ID saved for your salon and record each payment with its UPI or bank reference. You get a notification in the app for each payment.
  • BukPoints and coupons have no cash value. Don't give customers cash for them.
  • We don't pay for BukPoints or BukSalon coupons used on fake bookings or visits, or on visits that break these terms, and we may take back money already paid for them.

11. Customer data

  • Through BukSalon you see your own customers' names, mobile numbers, bookings, visit history, bills, points and pass balances, and udhar entries, and for home visits the address the customer gave. You only see customers of your own salon, never data from other salons.
  • Use these details only to serve that customer and run your shop: bookings, the queue, bills, passes, udhar and replies to their questions.
  • Don't sell, rent or share customers' details with anyone, don't use them for any other business, and never use them to harass anyone.
  • Keep the details safe: lock your phone, keep your login to yourself, and show customer details only to team members who need them. When you type in a walk-in customer's number, do it only when the customer gave it to you for that visit.
  • You are responsible for your own use of customers' personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other Indian law. Tell us straight away if you think customer data from BukSalon has leaked or been misused.
  • BukSalon sends customers automatic WhatsApp or SMS messages about their tokens and visits. These go only to customers who booked themselves or asked for updates themselves, and only after BukSalon has verified your salon for messaging (a salon that has paid for a plan counts as verified). They never contain text typed by you. You can't use BukSalon to send marketing messages.

No spam: your own messages to customers

When you message customers yourself (for example on WhatsApp, by SMS or by phone from your own number), these rules apply:

  • Message only your own customers, meaning people who visited or booked your salon.
  • Message them only about their own visits, bookings, passes or udhar, or about something else only when the customer has clearly said yes to getting it from you.
  • No bulk promotional messages to customers who haven't clearly agreed to them.
  • Don't buy, sell, share or swap phone numbers, and don't add customers to groups or lists without their permission.
  • If a customer asks you to stop messaging them, stop straight away.
  • Follow our WhatsApp & SMS policy and the rules of WhatsApp and Indian telecom law for business messages.

How BukSalon itself handles personal data is explained in our Privacy policy, and our messages to customers follow our WhatsApp & SMS policy.

12. Reviews

  • Customers can rate and review your salon after a completed visit, within 30 days. Each review is linked to a real booking. After a visit, BukSalon may send the customer a link to rate you (on Google when your Google listing is linked).
  • You can reply publicly to any review. You can't edit or delete customer reviews.
  • Don't post fake reviews, review your own salon, or ask your team, friends or family to do it. Don't offer discounts, free services or rewards for good reviews, on BukSalon or on Google. Ask all customers alike, not only happy ones, and never pressure a customer to change a review.
  • Keep replies polite and true. Don't share the customer's personal details or abuse anyone.
  • We may hide or remove reviews or replies that break these rules. If you think a review is fake or abusive, tell us. A review we hide stays on your Reviews page marked "Hidden by BukSalon"; customers don't see it and it isn't counted in your rating.

13. QR codes, posters and branding

  • Your QR codes, QR posters, review posters and standees are made for your salon only. Use them only at your own shop. How many QR codes you can have depends on your plan.
  • Keep standees and posters where customers can see them. Don't change the QR code or the artwork, and don't put your QR code anywhere it could mislead customers.
  • Use the BukSalon name and logo only on the QR posters, review posters and standees that come from BukSalon, and only for your own shop. Don't use them in your shop name, signboards, websites or social media in a way that suggests you are BukSalon or part of it.
  • If a QR code is lost or misused, tell us. We can pause it, or cancel it and issue a new one; the old printed code then stops working at once. Customers can't take tokens from your QR codes while your salon is under review or suspended.
  • The BukSalon name, logo, website, apps and software belong to BukSalon. You get a limited right to use them for your salon while you are listed. You keep your own salon name, logo and photos.

14. Field agents

  • A BukSalon field agent may help you register, take your shop photos, set your map pin, link your Google listing, add your services, install your standee and show you how to use BukSalon. Field agents are approved by BukSalon.
  • If an agent helped you, their agent code links them to your salon. BukSalon may pay the agent a reward for this from its own money. You don't pay the agent anything, and it doesn't change your plan price.
  • Agents can't collect plan fees or any other money for BukSalon. Pay plan fees only on your Plan page, to the BukSalon UPI ID shown there. Agents never need your login code.
  • Once the agent has finished showing you how to use BukSalon, they can no longer change your shop details.
  • If anyone asks you for money or your login code in BukSalon's name, or behaves badly, tell us at contact@buksalon.in or +91 99393 68248.

15. Suspension and closing your salon

We may put your salon back under review, pause its QR codes or coupons, or suspend it if:

  • it isn't a real shop, or its details are false;
  • you offer services that are unlawful or unsafe;
  • we get serious or repeated complaints from customers;
  • there are fake bookings, fake reviews or false payment references;
  • customer data is misused; or
  • you break these terms or the law, or a court or government authority requires it.
  • We tell you in the app when your salon is suspended. Contact us to find out why and to resolve it. While it is suspended, customers can't book with you and you can't run your queue on BukSalon. You must still honour, or fairly settle, the membership passes you sold.
  • To close your salon, contact us. You can't delete your own login while you own a salon. Before closing, finish or cancel open bookings and settle passes with their holders.
  • If your salon is closed or suspended, BukSalon still pays what it owes you for BukPoints and BukSalon coupons on genuine completed visits. Unused plan fees are handled as set out in our Cancellation & refunds policy.
  • We keep the records the law requires us to keep (for example payment records), as explained in our Privacy policy.

16. Our responsibility and yours

  • BukSalon is provided "as is". We work to keep it running, but it may sometimes be slow or unavailable, and wait times and time slots are estimates.
  • We don't promise any number of customers, bookings or income.
  • We are not responsible for your services, your team, your prices, payments between you and your customers, or problems caused by wrong details you entered.
  • To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost business, and our total liability to you is limited to the plan fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This limit doesn't apply to money we owe you for BukPoints and BukSalon coupons, or where the law doesn't allow a limit.
  • You agree to cover BukSalon for losses, claims and reasonable legal costs that arise from your services, your team, your listing content, your use of customer data, or your breaking these terms or the law.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as BukSalon grows. If a change is important, we will tell you in your dashboard before it applies. If you keep using BukSalon after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can close your salon.

18. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Koderma, Jharkhand have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to sort it out together.

19. Complaints and contact

Questions about these terms? Email contact@buksalon.in or call +91 99393 68248. For a complaint, you can write to our Grievance Officer, Neeraj Kumar. How to complain and how we handle it is on our Grievance redressal page.
